AlpStemin Germ

Comparison and Effectiveness of Modified Hoagland's Solutions with Biostimulators AlpStemin Root and AlpStemin Leaf

Explore our detailed scientific case study comparing the efficiency of the ecological biostimulator AlpStemin Germ with synthetic alternatives in promoting successful scarification and establishment of Pannonian thyme cuttings.

Test Scenario

Conducted at the Institute for the Study of Medicinal Plants “Dr. Josif Pančić” in Pančevo, Serbia, this research provides valuable insights for those interested in cultivating this medicinal herb.

Using two thyme forms—L-16 with hairy leaves and L-9 with smooth leaves—the study examines various application methods, growth regulators, and biostimulators. Results show that AlpStemin Germ, composed of seaweed extracts, amino acids, humic acid, flower powder, brewer’s yeast, and allelochemicals, achieved the highest scarification rate of 61.3%. The synthetic biostimulator INCIT 8 also performed well, with a scarification rate of 57.6%. Notably, the L-16 thyme form exhibited higher scarification success compared to L-9.

The study also highlights the effectiveness of different application procedures, including soaking, rapid immersion, and powder forms, as well as the use of phytohormones like IBA and NAA. Findings indicate that soaking cuttings in AlpStemin Germ preparation yielded the best results.

This comprehensive research offers practical recommendations for optimising Pannonian thyme propagation, emphasising AlpStemin Germ’s potential in enhancing scarification success. Download the full study for in-depth insights and practical applications.

This information can be useful for individuals interested in cultivating Pannonian thyme for its medicinal properties and for researchers looking to optimise the establishment of cuttings.
